ABOUT DAVID POWER AUDIO ENGINEER/PRODUCER

David Power, AKA Southside Acid Movement, is a driven creator and producer that believes in the philosophy that knowledge holds no bounds, when it comes to music, and is eager to learn more about anything that is remotely connected with sound. David’s obsession with music started from a very early age and he has been accumulating records for many years, which has built into an extensive and impressive collection. David first started acquiring variations of electronic music, but as his palette broadened, he began to embrace other genres which is evident in his productions. David began his DJ journey at the age of 15, mixing his unique sound at parties, he fed off the positive vibes his music emanated and the bond it created, music bridged every language and united all that were exposed. The thirst for knowledge continued, and in particular, audio engineering and the production of sound. David is currently studying at Riverside Music College, in Glasgow, where he is learning the technical elements that sit behind music production, which he can take forward, utilise, and exploit in future projects. David’s personal ambition is to break the barrier between Dance, Hip Hop and Grime Music. David intends to put a spin on these genres and create a distinctive sound, partly by using glitchy sounds, breakbeat jungle coupled with the unique vocals from Southsides own rapper, P Caso. The music produced will be ground-breaking with its origins firmly embedded within the heart and soul of Glasgow’s Southside.
